What have you already tried to solve the problem? You can limit the number of programs starting when you boot up Windows in case they're taking up too much memory (run msconfig and untick the boxes). Thanks Bobcee I can get Windows started up eventually (it keeps freezing). I will look for the Recovery folder and see if I can figure out what to do with it »»»

If your RECOVERY folder is still intact you can recover using that. If you have lost the disk the only legal way would be to buy a MS version of Windows »»»

I havent noticed any adverts for Medion pcs at Aldi in last 12 months. Anyone know if they are likley to have any in or have Sainsburys buggered things up ! The 3 year warranty at ALDI is worth having, Sainsburys charge £160 for 3 years »»»

So the media industry (would that be the BBC effort? ) thinks the 'tower' is on its way out? Even though it is probably the 'graphics card' industry that has pretty much kept the 'gaming industry' alive for - I don't know how long - forever? I'm suggesting there would be no gaming industry if the graphics card users didn't keep asking (and paying) for better and faster machines. (not going to happen in a tablet!) Forget the Wii, xbox, PS3...they are the exception to the rule. Without the 'towers' pushing »»»

If your set up makes it feasible the use of Homeplugs makes a very useful network. My Ralink software is throwing a wobbly. The card is working fine but I can't access the configuration utility. I'm going to move things around and plug the 8383 straight into my router with an ethernet cable. It's too much trouble to get the wireless network going when things go »»»

Do you get this message with all USB stick or just the one? This problem could be just a communication problem between the USB device and your computer.
